We have just updated WorkInQA.com to the new release of JobberBase, the Content Management System on which we run this job portal. These are the steps we followed to update from release 1.8 to release 1.9:

1. Backup all your information, including databases, files, customization and any other file you might need to restore in case of failure. In case of specific JobberBase modifications you will need to take care of them again after the update, so keep an eye on them.
2. Delete all JobberBase files on your server.
3. Upload all JobberBase files (download link here).
4. Make sure that the following folders have write permission:
   ?    /uploads (uploaded resumes are temporarily stored here)
   ?    /_templates/<YourTheme>/_cache (smarty cache) – by default, YourTheme is a folder called default
   ?    /admin/_templates/_cache (smarty cache)
5. Upgrade your database (original instructions here).

6. Set your configuration. In release 1.9 now you need to modify this file: _config/config.envs.php
7. Edit your settings on the Administratin panel.
8. Apply all your previous customizations like Google Analytics code, logos, etc.
